The Rehoboth Beach Bandstand Kicks off Summer 08’ with a Tribute to Rock and Roll

Rehoboth Beach, DE – June 2, 2008: The Rehoboth Beach Bandstand has been providing free entertainment to Rehoboth’s locals and visitors since 1963. The summer of 2008 has finally arrived and the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand is excited to kick off the season with a weekend of Rock and Roll!

The opening weekend for the Rehoboth Bandstand is scheduled to begin on Friday, June 13th and will boast a variety of high-energy rock and roll groups that will be performing hits from the 50’s, 70’s, 90’s and today. The weekend’s rock and roll festivities will start off with a performance by one of Delaware’s finest, Love Seed Mama Jump. The members of this talented 6-piece rock band are all native to Sussex County and they will definitely get the crowd moving with some of their original tunes as well as their popular renditions of some of the hottest covers. You can listen to Love Seed’s hits on their website, www.loveseed.com. On Saturday, June 14th, Groove Train will hit the Rehoboth Bandstand stage for the first time. Groove Train is sure to captivate you with an exciting blend of music from the days of disco, providing a show that consists of groovy costumes, outrageous hairstyles and showmanship. Finally, on Sunday, June 15th, you will be dazzled by another native Delaware band, The Honeycombs. The Honeycombs take you back in time and will get your feet moving to the Golden Oldies.
