Elvis tribute group to return to Rehoboth Beach Bandstand July 3
Cape Gazette

Jesse Garron will perform his Tribute to Elvis Presley at 8 p.m., Saturday, July 3, at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand, officially launching the group’s summer schedule. He annually appears in Rehoboth where he draws standing-room-only crowds.
At a time when towns are cutting their entertainment budgets, Garron has received repeat bookings from local favorites and is adding new venues to the schedule.
“This is a critical time for venues and fans alike,” says Manager Julie Malewski. “There needs to be entertainment in order to create revenue for the towns, yet it has to be appealing and affordable to diverse audiences.” Even more than 30 years after his death, people are still drawn to Elvis and his music. Just as Elvis sold out venues nationwide, Garron continually draws capacity crowds of all ages. According to Graceland statistics, by the year 2000, more than half of Graceland’s visitors were born after Elvis’ death.
Elvis surrounded himself with a live band, orchestra and backup vocalists to generate excitement unmatched for his time. Garron recreates that same excitement with his portrayal of Elvis in his Vegas years using his own live band and additional vocalists. From his powerful voice and professional costumes to a state-of-the-art light show and Vegas-style showmanship, this act continues to receive rave reviews year after year.
The group will perform songs from the famed ’68 Comeback Special and Aloha from Hawaii televised concerts as well as Billboard hits from the 1950s and ‘60s and classic covers from the ‘70s.
Admission is free. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. For venue information call 644-2288. For more information on Garron and a performance schedule, visit reverbnation.com/#/jessegarronelvis or call 302-832-8138.
